People Only Want To Buy Autopilot Websites
Written by Mega Champ on June 30, 2009 – 1:24 pm -If you have been to sitepoint or digital point market place, there is a trend going on where people are mostly bidding or buying websites which are having some sorts of auto pilot business. Means you buy it and forget it and the money will keep coming in.
But in this age of SEO and people fighting for search engine rankings, does that make sense. I mean its good you are on first page of google for something but if that’s site is an autopilot and you competitor wants to take your ranking, it will be pretty easy for him/her to do it. To be honest, he/she can even throw you out of the first page with some good link building and SEO.
So, if you are buying an auto pilot website then please keep a plan on what to do when your site rankings starts going down the drain. Google is not much fond of static websites, if you get my drift.

Tagging Your Blog Posts In A Right Way
Written by Mega Champ on November 13, 2008 – 11:22 pm -Well, i am new to blogging and don’t know much effects of tagging my blog posts, but as i have read on most webmaster and seo blogs that tagging is one of the most important part of SEO. And yes it well proven fact also. Point is how good are you in tagging your post and providing right tags inorder to gain the SEO love. I try to learn by giving a good look at the tags used by well established blogs in their blog posts, how they write the tags, how many tags in one post etc etc. And believe its the best way to learn, as established bloggers know the tricks of the trade. So, give importance to post tags and learn to use them for getting SEO value.
PS One blog which blows the competition away in tagging is engadget.com, go and see their tags for any post and you will amazed.

Is It Good To Digg Every Post You Write?
Written by Mega Champ on November 12, 2008 – 10:17 pm -Digg is considered to be one of the first choice of bloggers to generate backlinks and getting site indexed in Google at a fast pace. And if you ask me, it works, there is hardly any better medium of getting your new site or blog indexed in google, other then submitting few posts in Digg.
So, because of this Digg is spammed like there is no tomorrow. I visit Digg everyday, to see what people in world are talking about. But day by day its getting hard to find good content of amongst so many spam and useless links. I can deal with spammers, its their job to spam. But what really annoys me that authors of well established blogs submitting their each and every post to Digg. For eg there is iPhone based blog, the author of which submits his own articles which hardly get dugg by other users, as some of his posts are not worth even looking at. But he continues to do that everyday, every post on Digg and it really irritates me.
You have a good blog, keep writing and people will eventually come to you, but spamming like this will only make you look cheap. So, stop spamming DIGG and spend that time in writing good content for god’s sake.
