If you would have noticed my previous post about Alexa Rank Not Updating, you must be knowing how frustrated i was with the rank not getting updated for so long.

Well today it finally updated, and all i can gather about the behavior that Alexa surely increased their rank update period from 2 weeks to almost 4 weeks or a month.

Please Let me know if anyone came across a official post from Alexa regarding this.

There has to something wrong with alexa, earlier it used to update the rank in every 4-5 days. But now its almost 3-4 weeks since Alexa updated the rankings.

I personally consider Alexa rank a very important parameter to rate your blog success and i keep track of it religiously. But don’t know whats happening now. If any one is having idea about this please let me know.

Well if i have to choose, i will choose a better Alexa Rank, for the simple reason that if you have strong alexa rank your website must be getting 1000′s of visitors per day. And having a better Page Rank doesn’t necessarily mean that you are getting loads of visitors on your website. It will just mean that you are getting backlinks from very good high ranked sites.

I have seen blogs with page rank as high as PR7 but with pretty moderate Alexa rank.So, my vote goes to high alexa rank, which one you prefer?
