If you lurk around in the webmaster forums, you must have came across some posts like :

“Here is video database containing 1000’s of videos, download it free”

“Giving out 10000’s post database for free, download now”

“Free warez db download now, start your forum for free”

etc etc.

If you are a total noob in the making sites for profit niche, there is high percentage of chances that you will jump of your couch and say “wow I got a free db, i am off to start my new website now” and never even look much into what’s inside.

But I have always, whenever I see someone giving out free db in digital point, i always download it and look inside the code. And believe me when i say, 99% of times, these db as infested with their affiliate links or 1000’s of links pointing to the websites of the owner. So, if you happen to use the database, all you will be doing is benefiting them in terms of links or driving traffic to their websites.

You didn’t think that someone is handing out free databases just like that right? So, always check what’s inside that huge sql file you just downloaded and act accordingly. My advice will be to still download the database but do some parsing and scripting to turn the “benefit” tide towards yourself.

PS : I would like to add there are some people who are genuinely giving out good databases as public service, but there count is very very less.

Having trouble finding link directories for you new website/blog. Just use the following command in google and get going :

php link directory” inurl:”(nl|be|net|biz|info|com|org)/submit.php

If you are into making online business, you have to be ahead all times from others and automate stuff as much as possible. This is where wordpress plugins comes in, most of them are free and they make your life easy.

Remember earlier how was I talking about applying your coding skills to online and make the world go round. On the similar lines I came across a  excellent article on digg, which teaches you how to come up with your own stat application, something like google analytics.

So the question lies why would you do that, if you are already using google analytics or some other stat program. Well all I can say the if you are building your own thing, there are 100’s of possibilities to modify it to suits your needs and use it to enhance your business. Sometimes there are so many things or info you don’t want to see about website. You are just looking for something in particular and remember keeping a microscopic eye on your online business can/will take you places.

I just hope today that India wins, after their dismal performance against WestIndies its been proven that they are not invincible. And if they want to go to atleast in quarterfinals they have to win this match and the one against south africa.

Even if they win both the matches still it will be decided by run rate, so India should buckle up and give everyone a good show if they want to keep their hopes alive of winning the world cup again. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Let the best team win(Let it be India please god ) .
